Don’t know where to walk? Try the coastal paths.
The coast of the Alpes-Maritimes and the Var is full of trails for pedestrians, more or less easy but always with breathtaking landscapes.
This is the one in Nice.
Starting point
The departure is located at the end of Coco Beach (avenue Jean-Lorrain), after the port of Nice. A sign indicates the direction to take.
Itinerary
After a first flight of stairs, you walk along the cape of Nice through a rocky but well laid out and relatively flat path.
The end of the trail is a dead end, marked by a platform that allows you to swim.
About halfway there are steep stairs on your left. They allow you to reach the M6098 via the avenue du Cap-de-nice, where the coastal path to Villefranche-sur-Mer starts.
Difficulty
Easy. The trail is only a few kilometres long and is relatively flat. Hiking shoes are not necessary but avoid going in flip-flops.
Don’t forget to wear a hat and to bring a water bottle, there is no shade and it is very hot in spring and summer.
