Don’t know where to walk? Try the coastal paths.
The coast of the Alpes-Maritimes and the Var is full of trails for pedestrians, more or less easy but always with breathtaking landscapes.
This is the one in Villefranche-sur-Mer.
Starting point
The departure is located on the road that connects Nice to Villefranche-sur-Mer (M6098). After the Maeterlinck Palace and the bus stop, there are stairs on your right to the hiking trail.

Itinerary
When you arrive on the starting platform, there is a path on your left. It allows you to walk along the coast to a small cove, quite famous in Nice.

The path leads to a residence, which you have to cross to reach the Darse beach.

Difficulty
Easy. The sign indicates 45 minutes to connect Nice to Villefranche-sur-Mer but it takes much less time at a steady pace.

The path extends for only a few kilometers with little elevation gain. It is feasible in tennis but hiking shoes are a better choice.
Don’t forget to wear a hat and to bring a water bottle, there is little shade and it is very hot in spring and summer.
