Coastal path in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat

Don’t know where to walk? Try the coastal paths.

The coast of the Alpes-Maritimes and the Var is full of trails for pedestrians, more or less easy but always with breathtaking landscapes.

This is the one in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat.

Starting point

The tour of Cap Ferrat starts from one side or the other: from the Passable beach or from the chemin de la Carrière.

A large parking lot allows you to park at the beach while the chemin de la Carrière is in town. Tickets are free between october and the end of april.

Itinerary

The route runs along the coast, alternating between earthy or rocky paths. Halfway you arrive at the Saint-Jean lighthouse, which marks the southernmost point of the peninsula.

The view is stunning throughout the course, wherever your are. For sunset enthusiasts, don’t forget your camera!

Difficulty

Easy. The wlak is a little less than 5 kilometers and the elevation gain is flat. No need for your hiking shoes but don’t go in flip-flops!

Don’t forget to wear a hat and to bring a water bottle, there is little shade and it is very hot in spring and summer.
