Coastal path in Antibes

Don’t know where to walk? Try the coastal paths.

The coast of the Alpes-Maritimes and the Var is full of trails for pedestrians, more or less easy but always with breathtaking landscapes.

This is the one in Antibes.

Starting point

To reach the departure, go to La Garoupe beach, at Cap d’Antibes.

A large parking lot allows you free parking but, beware, it is quickly full during the summer season.

Itinerary

The coastal trail in Antibes is perhaps the most popular of all on the French Riviera.

It is very busy (which is why I haven’t done it since 2018… but it’s time to fix it!) and it’s understandable: the path is narrow, on the side of (small) cliff, with a breathtaking view, as always.

At the end of the road along the coast, you can either take the inside, through the departmental road, or turn around.

Difficulty

Easy. The trail is about five kilometres long and is relatively flat. Hiking shoes are not required.

Don’t forget to wear a hat and to bring a water bottle, there is little shade and it is very hot in spring and summer.
